Larry flatters me with this poem he wrote for our anniversary. What a guy, right? 12/12/06
Sweet Sandy Lou 12/11/06
Not a one brings out the sun like Sweet Sandy Lou. The weather always feels better with Sweet Sandy Lou. And y’know I’m in the show with Sweet Sandy Lou. I’ll tell you just why--- I’m her lucky guy--- her honey pie. Jeeper Creepers, she’s a keeper--- my Sweet Sandy Lou! Come what may my heart will stay with Sweet Sandy Lou. No day will pass my way that three words I don’t say. I hope you know, too, they’re “I love you,” Sweet Sandy Lou.
All the men know she’s a gem--- my Sweet Sandy Lou. I confess I’m truly blessed with Sweet Sandy Lou. She draws eyes from younger guys--- my Sweet Sandy Lou. ‘Cause it’s plain as can be; she’s gorgeous, you see. Ooo-wee! In this world there’s not a girl like Sweet Sandy Lou. She sings, pens books, has charm and looks, --- my Sweet Sandy Lou. No one half her age could compare on the stage. There’s no doubt she’s a knockout---my Sweet Sandy Lou.
One smoky night in the neon light sat Sweet Sandy Lou. In the loud, rambunctious crowd smiled Sweet Sandy Lou. I took a chance, and asked to dance with Sweet Sandy Lou. She made my day, when she said “Okay.” Ole! Fate thrilled my life, ’cause now my wife is Sweet Sandy Lou. This godsend is my best friend--- my Sweet Sandy Lou. She’s my baby, yes sirree! It’s our anniversary. I’m sure to pray, thankful each day for Sweet Sandy Lou.
Happy 14th, Sweet Sandy Lou Lucky Larry Lou |
